Event for K-5th Grade
Have you ever noticed how hectic it can get around the holidays? Trying to get to all the parties, find that special gift for that special someone, figure out whose house you are going to meet at and when and what food you are going to have, etc. I am not sure, but I think it has been hectic ever since that first Christmas Eve.
The thing is after all that planning and prep work things can still go wrong. Someone gets sick and can’t make it, there may be a family quarrel that happens, the Christmas tree catches on fire—you know—small things like that can happen.
This year Christmas Eve is on a Sunday, and I want to invite you to join us for a special Christmas Eve Service that evening at 6:00pm. With the help of our special in-house actors, we are going to take a look at how even in the hectic moments God can and will do amazing things!
I know it seems like it should not be that time of year, but it will be here before we know it. Please be praying for who you might invite to come with you and make plans to join us for one of the most hectic nights of your life!
December 8th - Family Christmas Putt Putt
Join us Friday December 8th from 6-8pm for night of Christmas festivities. Candy prizes for every hole so make sure you bring your stocking! Hot chocolate bar and Christmas tree cakes will be available for all!
Join us for a catered meal from Sam’s Too in the WCC Sanctuary. We will be entertained by the WHS Madrigals to help us ring in the season celebrating the birth of Jesus. We’ll have a reading of a beautiful story of the Christmas season to remind us of God’s gift of His Son, a White Elephant gift exchange, and a few other games. Please sign up in the Lobby, if you plan to attend as we want to make sure that enough food is ordered for the evening.
Our potluck this year will be Nov. 19, at Noon. The menu for the day is; Turkey, ham, cranberry sauce, rolls, green beans, dressing, mashed potatoes & gravy, dessert, coffee, lemonade & water. As always the church will be providing the mashed potatoes, gravy, and drinks. At the beginning of November we’ll have a sign up sheet in the lobby and Scarlett will start making phones calls to people for help with providing the rest of the menu.
On Tuesday Oct 31st 6:00-8:00 PM join us for an open house party with free food, candy, fun & games! Wear your costumes, and don’t forget your treat bags! We’ll be having a Chili to go along with hot dogs and desserts.

We are working on another Service Sunday! This year it will be on Sunday, October 15th. If you have never been able to be a part of this special Sunday, we would love for you to help. The idea for this day is simply for us to be the church and go out and serve those in our community. Here is what the day looks like:
· Arrive just before 8:45 am and find your work crew in the sanctuary.
· At 9:00 am we send the crews out to their sites, and they work until 11:30ish.
· Noon – everyone is back in the sanctuary at the tables ready for the potluck, prayer is given, and we eat. While we eat there is a slideshow of all the work that was done that morning.
· After we are done eating there will be a short devotional and we close our time out with a song or two.
